Fasting is a sacrifice. There is no way around it. But, sacrifice means to give up something you love for something you love more. God is giving us a chance to seek His face and pray (and fast) in order to help turn this mess around. We will fast throughout the remainder of 2010 on the second Sunday of the month at sundown until Monday at Sundown. We will then meet together to pray and worship from 7-8 p.m. Join us as we enter into this God-inspired opportunity to see His Glory bring revival to our land!
Continued Fasting: 2nd Monday of the month, starting at sundown on Sunday. Corporate prayer from 7-8 p.m. Listen to The Perfect Gift - Exchange! Fast Prayer Focus Fasting Testimonies What has God done in your heart & life through this fast? I was laid off three months ago. Since then, God has provided for us so much that our cupboards don’t hold all the food we’ve received. That was God’s blessing. This fast has been an act of worship and a reminder to me that it is only God who provides and that I need to remember that.
What has God shown you? (About yourself, Himself, His will & direction for you) He has shown me that I am weak and don’t tend to trust at first. He has shown that His loving and does provide and that I need to act in faith since I do know what truth is.
What new victories or breakthroughs are you experiencing? I believe most of this will come later, through faith. I have seen revival in my children which we have been desperate for.
- Dave What has God done in your heart & life through this fast? He is giving me the ears to hear.
What has God shown you? (About yourself, Himself, His will & direction for you) I believe the Lord has shown me that “increase” truly is the word for this season. A pouring out of His Holy Spirit on His people to partner together to represent the Lord so obviously that others will come to know Him. I have a sense that this increase is ushering in His coming and believe it is imperative that we don’t wait or be afraid. Now is a time to be bold and strong.
What new victories or breakthroughs are you experiencing? God is helping me to love unconditionally, to not filter everything though my opinions, but through His love.
- Valerie What has God done in your heart & life through this fast? A renewed sense of our need for discipline, the fruit of discipline, and God’s grace within that process.
What has God shown you? (About yourself, Himself, His will & direction for you) A greater appreciation for simplicity, for need versus want and greater balance there. For the needs others face daily.
What new victories or breakthroughs are you experiencing? Where have you seen release from the enemy? My walk with Him is closer, more intimate and steadfast. Peripheral worries/concerns have lessened. Greater peace and a greater sense of the power and sovereignty of God. Increased contentment.
- Steve
What has God done in your heart & life through this fast? I feel a tenderness towards God and I have felt His presence and grace. My worst fear is being alone and I haven’t felt alone though my husband is in Mexico.
What has God shown you? (About yourself, Himself, His will & direction for you) That He doesn’t hate me, He isn’t out to smite me with judgement. He loves me and wants to save me, I have to trust Him.
What new victories or breakthroughs are you experiencing? Dependence on God, not myself or other people.
