Sunday Mornings 8:15am (Pre-K and under), 10:00am Good Shepherd Children's Ministry is more than childcare. It's an opportunity to invest in children, teach them about God's love and help them grow in kindness and joy. We offer interactive and dynamic classes for all ages. From newborn through preschool, we offer Wee Flock. Kindergarten through 5th grade, are offered KICKS. Our staff and volunteers are professional and energetic, and they love spending time with kids.
While you enjoy the service, your children will sing songs, play games, hear Bible stories at their level, and interact with a group of children their same age. There’s also a safe haven for nursing moms and a security number system that lets parents enjoy the service without worry. Applications, background checks and training required. Host: The Host offers the same spirit of hospitality, generosity, and inclusiveness to the kids that the host of a party would offer to the guests in her home or gathering. 2 to 4 times a month. Small Group Leader: The Small Group Leader shepherds kids through questions about the story and biblical truths, engages them in community-building activities, helps them create a remembrance of their experience, and blesses them before they leave. Ideally, a Small Group Leader will work week after week with the same group of kids, giving him the opportunity to develop a lasting relationship with each child. Storyteller: After active involvement with the Scriptures and the lesson, the Storyteller recounts the Bible passage through the Big God Story for the kids in an engaging way. He leads out of an overflow of his own life, telling personal stories as necessary and guiding the kids into a time of natural worship response. 1 or 2 times a month. Producer: The Producer facilitates the “behind-the-scenes” aspects of programming, including music, lighting, drama, sound, PowerPoint, etc. The Producer makes sure things run smoothly and is willing to help with anything—including stepping into any of the other roles. Weekly or every other week. Tech Support: The Tech team works with the producer and worship team along the lines of the computer (mac) and/or the sound board. Every other week.
